The sailboat “Butxaca” from the Real Club N\u00e1utico de Gran Canaria, skippered by Joaqu\u00edn Blanco Roca, leads the overall classification and the ORC 3 to 5 at the end of the first day of the “XI C\u00e9sar Manrique Trophy \u2013 RCNA \u2013 Calero Marinas.” Following closely in the general classification is “Lanzarote Sailing Paradise” by Ye Cabrera (RCNA), leading in the ORC 1 to 2 category. The third position goes to the winner of the San Gin\u00e9s Regatta, “Alpispa 2,” helmed by Francisco J. Olivares from the Club Mar\u00edtimo Varadero de Gran Canaria, who secures the second position in ORC 3 to 5.<\/p>\n

Two races were held with a wind intensity of 14 to 18 knots, ranging between 350 and 050 degrees. The ORC E class boats followed a route from the Commercial Dock of Arrecife to La Mareta (Costa Teguise) with the finish line in Arrecife. Meanwhile, the ORC 1 to 5 started in front of Lanzarote Airport to perform a windward-leeward course with the finish line at the Arrecife Dock.<\/p>\n

Joaqu\u00edn Blanco with “Butxaca” secured victories in both races in ORC 3 to 5, while the “Alpispa 2” achieved second place in both races, and “Matador” by Crist\u00f3bal Amador (RCNT) repeated as third in both regattas. They maintain the same order in the provisional classification of their class.<\/p>\n

In ORC 1 to 2, “Lanzarote Sailing Paradise” achieved a double triumph, taking the lead. “Jalape\u00f1a” by Paul Van Leeuwen (RCNA) is second after finishing 4th and 2nd. The third position goes to “Katanga” by Raymond Pattenden (RCNA) with third places in both races.<\/p>\n
